In the historic heart of Padua, at the far end of Via Altinate—one of the Roman city’s oldest and most distinguished arteries—rises a 16th-century palace attributed to Vincenzo Scamozzi, commissioned by Antonio Priuli, future Doge of the Republic of Venice.

Via Altinate, once the Via Emilia-Altinate linking Padua to Aquileia through Altino, has for centuries been a vital axis of trade, culture, and eminent residences. Its proximity to the Church of Santa Sofia, Via Morgagni, and the historic canals flowing into the Piovego naturally attracted the great Paduan and Venetian families, among them the Priuli, who established their homes here.
